Participation in Penang Relay for Life 2007

Wawasan Open University was proud to be associated with “Penang Relay For Life 2007- Fighting Cancer Together”, a 16-hour relay walk held at the Penang Youth Park that drew some 2,000 participants.       

WOU staff set a steady pace around the Youth Park. Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas, Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and his wife, Puan Sri Chui Kah Peng, started the relay.   

 

WOU supports the fight against cancer. The relay was jointly organised by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (Penang branch) and Penang Hospice Society.
