The 1st International Conference on Digital Application and Innovation Management (ICDAMI) 2024 successfully left an indelible mark in the global research and academia landscape, addressing pertinent issues related to digital technologies, the economy, and management innovation in the 21st century.
Climate change is a such global issue that complex interventions, rather than linear ones, are needed. This was the overarching theme of the recent Public Forum on Climate Action, organised by WOU’s George Town Institute of Open and Advanced Studies (GIOAS) held at the WOU main campus on 13 and 14 January 2024.

When Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr Siti Zuraina Abdul Majeed returned to Malaysia after completing her PhD at Yale University in 1978, archaeology was not widely recognised as relevant. Nevertheless, this did not deter her from pioneering and developing Malaysia’s archaeological research and academic programmes, blazing a trail for future generations.
